Here’s an article that talks about why Youtube loads so slowly.  Basically, your ISP (Comcast, Centurylink, etc.) wants mo’ money from Google for delivering the traffic to you…even though you’re already paying them for the internet service.  The ISP holds back network upgrades as a negotiating tactic…perhaps because they know it makes Youtube look like the bad guy, giving them more negotiating power with Google.

    NIce article. I sometimes get a captcha page from youtube basically saying prove you are human. Also I get “unable to connect due to high volume from your organization” Type messages. This is recent and comes from youtube’s domains so the fault is two way.
