History of my internet use: ‘Twas about 50 years ago I came aboard the internet. I’ll not bore you with the details, but in those days, the internet was in punch cards and had 16K of memory and you had to walk uphill through the snow to get to it. Now in those days, there were two kinds of people on the internet. The lamers had some new-fangled “video screens” while the real hackers used the punch cards as had their fathers before them. For VR you strapped two 50 lb monitors to your head and watched oscillation patterns. A might blurry, but it was terrifically advanced for its day.
