While stuck in traffic this morning, I saw a label on the back of a semi that said,
“Orville’s Hanger”.
I thought to myself, “that’s not how you spell hangar.” Looked
it up and hanger
is apparently correct and is related to the trailer hitch or something…a cunning trucker pun.
I was also reading about some videogame description where they used the word
“huntress“.
Not a word, thought I. Wrong again. What a tricksy language English is.
I was reading that in London, they don’t have the ATM punishment fees we have
in the US…the ones for not using your own bank’s ATM that can amount up to $4.
