Never lose the Windows CDs that come with your computer. I’ve seen a couple of instances recently where this cost or almost cost someone $100 on the spot. When your hard drive goes out and you need to reinstall Windows, it’s pretty expensive to buy Windows again. This CD might say “Operating system” if you have a Dell or laptop. If you had the computer built, it’ll probably say Windows XP.
