We
played DDRMAX last night. They did that old trick where only some of the
songs are actually new. It’s kinda like offering some of the same levels
in the sequel of a videogame that were in the original. They changed the
names of the difficulty levels to Light, Standard and Heavy (as opposed
to Normal, Trick and Maniac like the older ones.) Guess that’s to make
us feel even MORE inadequate, eh? Anyway, it’ll take me a while to get
used to the new “hold” beats where you have to hold your foot down for
a while. One weird thing was that it has a cover of Duran Duran’s “Ordinary
World” but they never mention Duran Duran in the credits.
