1/13/2002 lunch

I had asked a co-worker to procure a knish for me the next time he got one since I’d
never heard of them. He delivered this morning. A knish is bready thing filled mainly
with mashed potatoes, meat and in this case, green chile. They’re more popular
on the east coast, apparently. I believe that if I had to
choose one word to call it, it would be “substantial”.
Saturday we stopped by Fratelli’s Italian deli for supper for a huge calzone…largest
I’ve ever seen.
I wanted to make some wisecrack about The Goonies to them but didn’t
get around to it.
(The Fratellis were the bad guys in a movie called, The Goonies.)
