We went to the balloon fiesta recently on a Saturday when the winds were too high. They called off the launch and gave us a rain check. We got to see some large police and SWAT team vehicles and helicopters up close, which was neat. They let a dad and his kid into the cockpit of a blackhawk. The kid pushed a switch and the dad was apologizing. I couldn’t believe they let them in there.
The following Saturday, we went to the balloon glow and it was pretty cool to see. The balloons don’t take off, but just sit on the ground and glow.
