Ah, this is nice. The BBC has come out with their own
open-source video codec.
I wonder if this could be “the one”. BBC might be powerful
enough to get such a codec into DVD players or other hardware. Who
knows?
Best case, get rid of those evil patented or licensed video formats
like mpeg, real, Microsoft, etc.
