So this morning, we were getting on I-40 west at Eubank. There was an accident
up ahead where a car had knocked down a light pole on the side of the road.
Anyway, as we were entering I-40, there were TWO cars trying to turn around
or back up the freeway entrance when they saw the traffic. (One of them
had a Hyundai Sonata, so she must have been very important.) We waited
for them to figure out that they can’t go backwards on a freeway entry.
We just drove around them. Later, we got to the accident itself and all
lanes were clear. People were clearing the lane near the accident by merging.
But the main slowdown was from people just staring at the accident. Ya
know, the DMV should have a test where they have bright colorful flashing
lights and sparkly stuff in your peripheral vision but they tell you not
to look directly at it. If you look at it, you should fail your test.
