From reading the newsgroups I noticed that Kaybee was selling the Gameboy
Advances ahead of other stores so I went over to the mall and got one during
lunch. I picked up Super Mario Advance. The first thing I noticed
was how disappointingly dark the screen is. I can see my reflection
better than I can see the game. They sacrificed visibility for battery
life, apparently. If only there was a lighting system that didn’t
use the batteries so heavily. Anyways, you have to play it in a room
with full lighting or almost direct sunlight. Well, this is the first
time I’ve given in to Nintendo. I’ve gotten Sega (twice), Atari,
Amiga, PSX and PC…I’ve mainly settled on the PC, I guess.
