Apple is releasing updates in their line of
insanely expensive monitors.
The new versions will use plain old DVI instead of that silly proprietary connection
they were previously using. Their largest, the Lamborghini of monitors,
will now be a 2560×1600 30 inch flat panel
display for $3300. It will use 2 DVI connections and require a super-fancy
Nvidia 6800 $600 video card. So, for only about $4000 you can have
quite a nice display. Somehow, I don’t think I’ll be buying that. But imagine
games playing at that resolution. I think I would burst into tears like a little girl.
Perhaps my mind is exaggerating it, but it seemed like Sean woke
up crying every 30 minutes last night. I can see he’s
going to be a whiner like his dad.
