I may have eliminated a red ant den in our back yard.
I have not seen any back there for for about a week or so.
How did I do it? I dug about 6 inches into their den
and dumped Ortho ant powder into the new entrance. They immediately
made another entrance and I dug into that and sprinkled powder there.
After a while they were piling up and I manually killed any ants I could see.
Of course, I’m probably speaking too soon and I’ll see them back
out there this evening. If they do come back, I guess I’ll try again.
Only next time, I’ll add taunting to the routine. I’ll say,
“You can do better than that!”
