A co-worker showed me a program called freeloader.
It allows you to boot Linux from a CD only. Everything is on the CD and
it loads it into a RAM disk. Good for practicing stuff in Linux, I guess.
Haven’t tried it yet. It’s available for download here.
But it’s a large file and requires a CD burner to make the CD.
We got a phone bill and part
of it was from MCI and part was from ATT. We thought we’d been slammed
(unauthorized switch by long-distance company) by MCI but it turned out
our out-of-state was MCI and in-state was ATT. We switched both to ATT
now and told Qwest to freeze the account so that we couldn’t be slammed
(just in case).
