Since they gave me an LCD monitor (hp 1702) at work, I’ve learned about
THE RESOLUTION PROBLEM. You might want to use a resolution
of 1024×768. However, you get a weird jaggies problem where text
appears blocky. So, you move the resolution up to 1280×1024 and
the text is crisp. However, on a 17-inch monitor it’s extremely
tiny. And so you go to all your applications and increase the font size
to HUGE. However, you can’t change the font sizes on the various
interfaces, so your eyes still bulge at the effort of seeing these
tiny things. So, stick with your CRT is my advice. The colors
are brighter and you won’t face the resolution problem.
