Since our anniversary is Sunday, I took the day off yesterday and we went
to El Malpais National Monument
near Grants. There were many sandstone formations in the area.
Some of them held pools of water with tadpoles and other tiny creatures.

are is an interesting cave in the area that we hope to return to.
We also went to the Ice Cave where
the temparature is around 30 degrees year round…which is odd because
it’s exposed to the open air. We stopped at El Cafecito in Grants
on the way home. Weren’t bad. A very nice day.
