Crossloop

Sometimes, you need to help someone on their computer in a remote location. I finally got around to trying Crossloop for this. It lets you control someone’s computer remotely. Convenient for helping someone out.

PROS: It just works (once you talk them through getting it installed). Windows Remote Assistance never “just works” You talk the person through disabling of firewalls, router configuring, etc….which is a major project over a phone…and then it doesn’t work anyway. Why can’t Windows Remote Assistance just work? How come all these other companies can figure it out but Microsoft can’t?

CONS: We lost the connection often. It’s pretty slow. You need to reduce the colors used to make it useable. The account setup can be confusing for a beginner.
