Evin lent me Dance Factory for PS2. The idea is that it’s like Dance Dance Revolution, but you stick your own music CDs in. It’s a neat idea when it works. I only had time to try it on a couple of songs so far. I put in a Franz Ferdinand song that I had forgotten had a big tempo change half-way through the song. Of course, it couldn’t find the beat on that one. I put in Empire State Human by Human League, which has a nice reliable beat, and it worked fine. I think it might get kinda tedious swapping out CDs all the time. Also, you are dancing to the entire song. DDR shortened songs to one minute so that you wouldn’t die. It looks like Dance Factory has a lower difficulty level in general to allow you to get through several minutes of dancing.
