The videogame developments in fake abilities continue. It started out with fake dancing in Dance Dance Revolution. Then, fake singing in Karaoke Revolution and Singstar. Fake guitar playing in Guitar Hero. The newest one, Rock Band, will feature fake drumming, singing, and guitar playing. The developers claim if you learn to play the drums in hard mode in this game, you’ll actually gain some real drumming ability. Finally, some useful training. But imagine how much it will cost to buy a microphone, fake drums, and a fake guitar! But that’s gotta be incredible fun being in a fake band with other people all playing a song at the same time. I could see the quotes now…”Why didn’t you come to fake practice? I thought the fake band meant something to you.”
