We went to the Sandia foothills the other day and were again turned back by the swarms of yellow gnats. I’m almost tempted to get us some mosquito net hats or something. Those little gnats know exactly how to annoy you by buzzing around your head and face. They seem more prominent in the rainy season. We gave up after about fifteen minutes of hiking. Our mosquito repellant did nothing.
