Mourn ye for Koury's Deli

Alas and alack, Koury’s Greek Deli is no more. I took the day off yesterday and we were going to go there for lunch and there’s a big “FOR LEASE” sign. It was our favorite place for gyros. They made nice non-greasy gyros and then dump on lots of tzatziki and feta (upon request). As we were pulling out of the parking lot, we saw someone get out of their car, walk up to the place, notice it was closed and kick the wall in frustration. We were glancing through some old pics from when Vanessa was pregnant and one of them was a pic of her happily eating at Koury’s. It is to cry. I appeal to the Koury family to post their recipes in my comments section below. 🙂

Speaking of pregnant, congrats to Vanessa’s bruvah and sistah-in-law on having a new lad named Andrew yesterday.
