Solar Steamboy

Look at this solar array in California. All that space and it generates a tiny fraction of what a coal plant does. But the idea‘s pretty neat for this one. Oil runs through tubes along lines of curved mirrors that focus sunlight on the oil tubes. This supa-hot oil is used to run a steam generator. Tres steampunk! If you’re ever thrown back in a time vortex to the 1800s, make a solar locomotive! (I assume it would require so many solar cars that the locomotive couldn’t pull them.)
